Shoes. Oh my god!

Sooooooo, of course I forgot to include my shoes into the mix last post, but I will save that for later. First I want to examine shoes generally used with Mori Girl coordinates, and shoes that Mori Gyaru would be keen on wearing!

Remember, Mori Girls want that natural, effortless and natural look to their coordinates. So shoes like boots, clogs and sneakers are the norm.

This photo floats around a lot online, and I really like the color and material of the boots! Leather looks seem to be the trend.

Also, though the ad is for the dress, I really love the boots here too.

Now with Mori GIRL you may see tiny heels, but large heels aren't really the style. I would assume the idea would be something comfortable to walk around the
forest with.

Now a look at more Mori GYARU shoe ideas:

There are the heels! But still there is that Leather aspect, and the bow is quite cute I think!

Liz Lisa wedges that would compliment the style quite nicely.

Liz Lisa boots that would be perfect! (These are my favorites right now)

More Liz Lisa boots I'm drooling over!

Some possibilities I found at YesStyle that would really work I think! (If only I had the money to get them :()

Either way I think there are probably cute boot designs in stores near you that either have a cute mori-gyaru look to them, or if you are feeling crafty, you can make as so!

I don't have much in the shoe department for Mori Gyaru, though I do have some gyaru shoes. But here are two things I currently own that go well with the style:

My brown leather mini-heels from Tokyo:

My simple gray boots (nothing spectacular):

I really need to get more footwear! Anyway, that is all for now!

Next up on the agenda: Jewelry!

Scouring the closet!

Well here we go!
I spent the day looking through the clothing I already own that might be able to fit into the mori gyaru wardrobe!
I then put a few simple coordinates together to get a rough idea of the looks I like.
Needless to say I need to grow with the style, but it's fun to make some attempts.

Here is what is in my closet:

Photobucket
Blue Floral Dress: ZARA
Floral Top: Ross
(The blue dress is my fave thing I have so I wear this dress a looooot lol)

Photobucket
Vest: Love Culture
Turtleneck: Forever 21
Dress: Charlotte Russe
(Another of my favorite dresses lol, and a perfect item for mori gyaru I think...)

Photobucket
Top: A wonderful find at Ross again
Top #2: Charlotte Russe
Leggings: Forever 21
Cat: Mimosa lol
(Again with my ever present obsession with floral print I love the floral top ahaha)

Photobucket
One Piece: Charlotte Russe
Cardigan: Charlotte Russe
Top: Target
(Charlotte Russe is my fave US brand I think...)

Photobucket
Lace Blouse: American Rag
Polka Dot Blouse: Forever 21
Plaid Tunic: I forgot the brand but this is from Tokyo somewhere

Photobucket
Top: Got this somewhere in Harajuku
Turtleneck One Piece: Forever 21
Tunic Dress: A Japanese Brand, my friend gave me this as a gift!

Photobucket
Gray Skirt: ZARA
Brown Skirt: Forever 21
Plaid Skirt: Gal Fit (Harajuku)

Photobucket
Stole: Beya
Fur Hat: Laforet Harajuku
Pom Pom Hat: Gift!

And that's it! Gotta get me some more!!
In the meantime I threw some outfits together, thought not too many because I'm feeling sick!

Look 1:

I combined my American Rag lace blouse with my brown F21 skirt and I like the simplicity of it! But I still like the look!

Look 2:

I think the mix of browns and floral really gives it a natural feel and that is essential for this look.

Look 3:

Another fave floral dress! This strays away from the beige and brown but I think it still is remnant of the style, and I love this dress so...

And that's that!

I think next time I will explore footwear!!

Ciao!

Hello world, I'm your wild girl!

hello all!
This is my first post in this blog about my movement into not only gyaru fashion, but specifically that of Mori Gyaru. A gyaru spin on the Mori Girl trends, I found myself falling in absolute love. Two styles I adore coming together to really create the ultimate style that I can see myself in.
